Elevation Recruitment is currently recruiting a Manual Machinist on behalf of a Sheffield-based manufacturer in the oil and gas industry.

Location: SheffieldSalary: £28,000 - £29,000 + shift allowanceShifts:

  • Days: Monday-Friday, 06:00-14:30
  • Nights: Monday-Thursday, 18:00-04:00
Responsibilities:
  • Operate manual lathes to produce components to high standards within estimated production times.
  • Machine high-grade materials, such as Inconel 718.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to manufacture components to customer specifications.
  • Work within company quality procedures to ensure precision and compliance.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure a safe, clean working environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience operating manual lathes.
  • Working knowledge of tooling applications, machine tool capabilities, and feed/speed settings for efficient cycle times.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
