Job Summary:

The Multi Transitional Tool Maker is responsible for designing, fabricating, and maintaining tooling used in metalworking processes. This role involves working with a variety of metals to create, modify, and repair tools and fixtures that support multiple manufacturing systems. The Tool Maker ensures tools perform efficiently across different production lines, meeting quality standards and production schedules.

We are looking for a candidate that can make their mark, build mutually beneficial relationships, and help drive team growth. Here’s how:

  • Tool Fabrication & Modification:Design and build tools, dies, and fixtures from metals (e.g., steel, aluminum) based on blueprints and specifications. Modify tools as needed to suit different manufacturing processes.
  • Tool Maintenance & Repair:Perform routine maintenance and repairs on metalworking tools, ensuring they meet operational standards and function across multiple machines.
  • Process Transitions:Adapt and reconfigure tools for use across different production processes or product lines, ensuring smooth transitions between production phases.
  • Quality Control:Inspect tools for quality, ensuring they meet dimensional and functional requirements. Test tools and fixtures to ensure longevity and precision.
  • Collaboration:Work closely with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements in tooling processes.

About You

  • Experience working with metals and operating machines like lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols in a metalworking environment.
