We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team at the Moor Market food court. This role is crucial in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across various buildings in the city, ensuring a pleasant environment for all visitors and staff.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the designated areas, including food halls, public spaces, and meeting rooms.
  • Perform a variety of cleaning tasks such as sweeping, scrubbing, sanitising, shampooing, vacuum cleaning, polishing, and dusting as required by the site.
  • Clear tables of food waste and crockery, load and unload dishwashers, and store items in designated locations.
  • Use appropriate equipment, materials, tools, and machinery effectively and safely, following all health and safety rules, risk assessments, and manufacturers’ guidance.
  • Engage in specialist or deep cleaning tasks as needed, including carpet shampooing, buffing, and polishing.
  • Utilise specific information technology systems and devices to carry out duties as directed.
  • Report any damage, defects, or standard failures through the designated reporting procedure to the Supervisor or designated officer.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a cleaning role, preferably in a food court or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to follow them strictly.
  • Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and materials effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with customers and supervisors.
