Role Overview: As an Assistant Planner, you'll gain hands-on experience while working on a diverse range of projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You'll support the team with research, planning applications, policy analysis, and liaising with stakeholders, helping to deliver successful planning outcomes!
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the team in preparing and submitting planning applications, reports, and documents.
- Assist with site assessments and data collection to inform planning decisions.
- Conduct research on planning policies, regulations, and local constraints.
- Work closely with senior planners to coordinate projects and engage with clients.
- Prepare planning reports, statements, and other documentation as required.
- Communicate with local authorities and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.
Candidate Requirements:
- A degree in Town Planning or a related field or working towards one.
- A keen interest in planning, urban development, and the planning process.
- Previous experience as a Graduate Planner, either public or private sector.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- A desire to develop professionally and achieve MRTPI status.
