Front End Developer - Sheffield South Yorkshire required in the office every day Monday to Friday

Our client based in Sheffield S3 are looking for an experienced front end web developer to join their friendly and supportive team to boost their development capacity and help them deliver industry-leading projects.

They need someone who is a strong team player that thrives in a multi-disciplinary environment and will be keen to collaborate with the rest of the team. They are all passionate about what they do, and need a front-end developer who shares this enthusiasm and drive.

Experience & Abilities

They are looking for a developer with minimum of 2 years' experience who can:

Collaborate with Designers and Back-End Developers: Work closely with design teams and back-end developers to create responsive and engaging user interfaces.

Translate Designs and Wireframes: Convert designs into high-quality HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code.

Optimise Front-End Performance: Enhance build speed, performance, and overall experience.

Ensure Cross-Browser and Cross-Device Compatibility: Guarantee that development builds work seamlessly across various browsers and devices, optimising for both performance and responsiveness.

Technology Platforms

In this role, you will primarily work with the following languages, tools, and platforms, requiring proficiency and familiarity with:

Bootstrap with custom SASS/SCSS for scalable and responsive design.

JavaScript and jQuery for dynamic and interactive functionality.

Git Version Control for managing code and collaboration workflows.

Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code as your development environment.

Browser Developer Tools and Lighthouse for debugging, optimisation, and performance analysis.

路 Adherence to Accessibility Standards to ensure inclusive and compliant web experiences.

You will work with design templates and style guides from Adobe XD and Sketch for styling and layout implementation. Familiarity with the principles of CMS platforms for managing and deploying digital content is expected.

Additionally, while not critical, familiarity with C#, .NET Core, and the Umbraco CMS is considered beneficial.
