Job description:

Are you an experienced HGV Technician? My client is a well-established haulage operator who maintains their Trucks in house.At this time, they have an opening for an HGV Technician to join them to work on a Monday - Friday Early / Late shift rotation

The HGV Technician will be responsible for the ongoing inspection, service, maintenance and repair on a wide range of commercial vehicles ranging from 7.5t trucks to tractor units and everything in between.

HGV Technician Daily duties:

  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify any works that need undertaking
  • Complete all required works identified in the initial inspection
  • Ensure all pre-planned maintenance is undertaken in a timely manner
  • Undertake MOT inspections along with preparations. 
  • Present fully prepared vehicles for their MOT test if you hold a heavy vehicle driving licence, those that don't have the required licence will be given driver training after a qualifying period
  • Maintain a recording monitoring system to comply with legal and company requirements
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure that site Health & Safety standards comply with Company Policy

Working Days / Hours / Rates:This HGV Technician role is available on rotating Early / Late shift 06:00 - 15:30 on the Early Shift, 12:30 - 22:00 on the later shift. Basic hourly rate of £19.22 per hour giving a basic annual salary of £49,205. With the basic salary, overtime and annual bonus, you can expect to earn in excess of £55,000 - £60,000 per year.
