Welding Manager
Contek are recruiting for a Welding Manager to join a thriving business based in Sheffield. This company have a long standing and popular reputation to be an effective supplier within their niche.
In this position you will be managing a team of 15 Welders where you will be the point of contact for their workload and overseeing the work produced by the team.
Responsibilities;
- Monitor and motivate your team to ensure the work is completed on time in full to the required standard
- Ensure processes are being followed regarding safe systems of work and all PPE is being utilised.
- Use your previous knowledge and experience to advise your team on best methods of working
- Plan and coordinate the work throughout the shop floor
- Provide hands on training where needed
- Resolve issues in production within your team and advise on the best route moving forwards.
Required Experience;
- Previous hands on experience as a Welder utilising MIG and TIG welding processes
- Ability to work to drawings where required
- Have in depth understanding of your craft
- Able to be an effective communicator
- Experience of leading and motivating a team
The hours for this role are as follows;
Monday to Thursday
08:00 - 17:00
Friday
08:00 - 16:00
