- Conducting property inspections to assess and prioritise repairs, adaptations, and improvement works.
- Managing the health, safety, and condition of council-owned properties, including void properties.
- Planning, procuring, and delivering revenue and capital works programmes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
- Overseeing contractors responsible for maintenance, servicing, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance and value for money.
- Carrying out surveys to diagnose repair defects and implement effective remedial solutions.
- Preparing reports, feasibility studies, and strategies to support maintenance and improvement initiatives.
- Managing budgets, attending contractor meetings, and ensuring high standards of service delivery.
- HND/Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field.
- Experience managing capital and revenue works, ideally within a social housing environment.
- Strong understanding of housing maintenance, procurement, project management, and budget control.
- Ability to manage workloads effectively, working within defined timescales across multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, liaising with contractors, tenants, and leaseholders.
