About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will work closely with teachers and families to provide tailored support to children with additional needs, ensuring they have the best possible start in their education journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support for children with SEND, including autism, speech and language needs, and developmental delays.
  • Support children with personal care needs, such as toileting, feeding, and hygiene, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, helping children to build confidence, independence, and key life skills.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP's)whilst collaborating with staff to adapt activities to meet children’s needs.
  • Monitor and document children’s progress, celebrating achievements and identifying areas for additional support.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to create consistent and effective support for each child.
  • Promote positive behaviour and social interaction through encouragement, patience, and creative approaches.

About You:
We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a real passion for improving the lives and education of children with SEND.
  • Is patient, empathetic, and committed to nurturing each child’s potential.
  • Has experience working with children with SEND in an Early Years setting (preferred but not essential).
  • Is confident in providing personal care and understands the importance of sensitivity and discretion.
  • Holds relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (desirable).
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is proactive, adaptable, and willing to engage in professional development.
