Our client are seeking a driven and confident Business Development Executive with 2-3+ years of experience in freight sales. The role involves selling all modes of transport, building a client portfolio, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Cold calling to generate leads and build a strong pipeline.
- Managing a personal portfolio of customers.
- Quoting clients on a shipment-by-shipment basis.
- Maintaining and growing a CRM pipeline.
- Conducting client visits as needed.
- Building strong relationships with customers.
Key attributes
- 2-3+ years’ experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics.
- Strong communication, confidence, and resilience.
- Ability to work independently and thrive under pressure.
- Comfortable with cold calling and business development.
- Experience with CRM systems (training provided).
- Monthly commission available upon meeting targets.
Benefits
- 21 days holiday per annum + Bank Holidays. This will increase by one day for every year’s service up to a maximum of 25 days with an extra 2 days given after 10 years’ service
