Teaching Assistant

TimePlan Surrey is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, this post is suitable from someone with experience and/or their Level 1, 2 or 3 qualification. You will be required to have some SEN experience, as although this position is based in a mainstream school, you will be supporting children who need additional help in the classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support students with their learning through one-on-one assistance and small group interventions.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Promote the social and emotional development of students, fostering their confidence and independence.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other support staff to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of teaching resources and materials.

Requirements:

  • Some experience or Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3).
  • Experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of the curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Caring and compassionate approach towards students.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
