Do you have excellent import/export experience paired with great knowledge of air, road and sea freight?

I am recruiting for an experienced Operations Executive for a repeat client in the Shepperton area. My client specialises in international freight forwarding and is looking to grow their freight team. The successful candidate will have multi-modal freight forwarding experience and will practice all aspects of freight forwarding whilst delivering excellent operational service. This is an office-based, Monday-Friday role, working from 9am-5:30pm.

Main Duties:

  • Arrange and oversee export, import, and UK domestic operations from start to finish, whether by air, sea or road.
  • Investigate and plan the most appropriate routes for shipments.
  • Complete international shipping and customs documentation.
  • Handle costing and billing for both import and export jobs.
  • Ensure compliance with international regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with customers, colleagues, and third parties to ensure deadlines are met.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong import/export experience
  • Customs clearance knowledge 
  • Multi-modal freight experience (air, road and sea ideally)
  • Experience using Boxtop or CargoWise (or similar)
  • Computer literate (MS Office, emails, CRM)
