Job Description

We are looking to recruit an Administrator who's main focus will be to operate and maintain the administration and customer service needs of the SGS Product Conformity Assessment (PCA) department under Governments & Institutions Services (GIS) relating to arranging inspections and issuing Certificates of Conformity for UK exporters.
Key Accountabilities
- To deal effectively with incoming enquiries by providing accurate and up-to-date information on various Conformity Assessment Programmes (CAP) offered by SGS.
- To organise the administration for CAP services to a high level maintaining accuracy to an excellent standard.
- To manage customer applications for Certificates of Conformity and act as one of the primary contacts to deal with any issues and/or information requests.
- To work effectively with the Technical Centre (TC) for CAP services in SGS Manila/India/Dubai, providing the TC with relevant information to qualify compliance of the exporter and responding to TC requests for additional information when necessary.
- To communicate effectively between the customer and the TC to achieve compliance to relevant country standards and be able to obtain an SR Number from the TC to issue the exporters Certificate of Conformity.
- To undertake any other duties as identified by the Operations Manager such as general sales activities when required, e.g. mail-shots, exhibitions.
Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- English Language and Mathematics GCSE Level or equivalent (grades A* to C)
- Education to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise work load
- To be accurate and organised Â
- Strong IT skills particularly in word & excel
- Decisive, Assertive, Results and Customer Oriented
- Fluent in English and any other language are an advantage
- Good communication skills
- Target and customer focused
- Knowledge of Google Adwords
- Experience of office QHSE
- Working within a standardised environment with a culture of continuous improvement
