Tax Accountant ( Practice) - Career Growth in a Professional Finance Team near the Sherborne area.
We have an opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ICAEW, or ATT) , ideally from Practice, to join a professional and experienced finance team. This role offers varied and hands-on experience, with clear opportunities for career progression.
The Role
You will be involved in financial reporting, tax compliance, and investment planning across a diverse range of businesses and interests. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you will have the chance to develop your skills and take on increasing responsibility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing financial reports, budgets, and year-end accounts
- Supporting tax compliance and planning for individuals, businesses, and trusts
- Assisting with investment-related financial planning and regulatory compliance
- Contributing to projects and working with internal teams and external advisors
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has at least three years of relevant experiencewith a strong preference for experience within an accountancy practice, particularly in tax or accounting.
- Is qualified or part-qualified in ACCA, ICAEW, or ATT
- Is organised, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Handles sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Communicates effectively and works well in a team
- Is committed to ongoing learning and professional development
