Job Title: Pastoral Support Officer
Location: Sherborne
Salary: £22,139 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only)
Contract: Full time, Permanent

An alternative provision school based in the Sherborne area is looking for a Pastural Support Officer to join their dynamic and supportive team. The school prides itself on their ability to provide the right support and interventions to allow their students to be successful.

As a Pastoral Support Officer:

  • You will oversee and manage the behaviour of students within the school.
  • You will be responsible for implementing strategies and interventions to support students in developing positive behaviours and attitudes towards learning.
  • You will be accountable for ensuring students are safe and have their needs met.
  • You will assist in the running of the day-to-day operations of the pastoral department.
  • You will be required to work with external parties to achieve appropriate support for pupils, this may include families, social services, police etc.
