JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is a family owned manufacturer of confectionery-based products such as Cookie Dough, Brownies & fudge, to name a few! And you could be the next to join the team!

your role -

Working within the Warehouse & Supply Chain Team to ensure the efficient supply and movements of raw materials, packaging and finished goods across the site in line with departmental/business needs.

To provide an essential support function to ensure production can run efficiently to the production plan and that quality standards are met.

To provide support on all aspects of daily warehouse operations including processing of incoming raw materials despatching of finished goods, waste management and general warehouse duties.

The main duties, responsibilities and accountabilities for this role are summarised as follows split depending on the area you may be working within on each given shift:

  • Receiving of raw materials and packaging supplies to the foyer and corridor areas in preparation for production requirements, ensuring stock is checked and delivered to the correct areas.
  • To ensure transfers are carried out between internal departments.
  • To complete sundry and stock count documentation and maintain sundry levels in the various units and update Sage accordingly.
  • To receive finished stocks and surplus raw materials from production units and notifying the warehouse & supply chain team of movements required back to stores.
  • To ensure pallets received from Production are correctly stacked, labelled, wrapped and covered before issue to the Warehouse & Supply chain Dept.
  • To ensure pallet ticket information is checked and matched to physical stock stacked on the pallet, ensuring any issues are raised to line management.
  • To take and record the chocolate tanks and BOC tanks readings during each shift ensuring any issues are reported to the Engineering team in a timely manner.
  • To move stock to and from Production into the local freezers as required.
  • To communicate and interact with the Production team and their Line Managers on stock requirements for the production lines.
  • To ensure freezers are kept in a clean and tidy condition and ice build-up reported to Shift Managers.
  • To prepare and pick orders ahead of the collection of orders for dispatch, ensuring paperwork is checked and signatures are made on all dispatch paperwork
  • To receive finished stocks and surplus raw materials from production units.
  • To carry out the preparation and movement of warehouse requisitions.
  • To ensure all goods in receipts are checked against delivery paperwork and duly signed for upon delivery.
  • To load and unload vehicles, to incoming delivery and dispatch paperwork.
  • To wrap and carry out the preparation of all pallets upon receipt and dispatch within the warehouse areas.
  • To ensure the monitoring and recording of bay locations for stock.
  • To notify the QA Dept. of goods received and waiting sampling and labelling.
  • To complete the booking in of deliveries.
  • To ensure raw materials are delivered to the production foyer areas against instruction.

Joint Responsibilities regardless of area:

  • To ensure your working areas, machinery used and freezers are maintained to good and hygienic standards, ensuring any issues are reported to your immediate Line Manager. This also includes the general daily maintenance of the above equipment, including battery top up, charging and the cleaning of machinery.
  • To maintain good hygiene standards within the warehouse, foyer, corridor and waste compactor areas
  • To carry out the checks and the completion of Company paperwork in line with company standards.
  • To participate in any audits as required by your immediate Line Manager.
  • To adhere to stock rotation
  • To assist and support in the month end stock take.
  • To ensure milk and glucose IBC stands at 7&8 are changed as required.
  • To carry out the waste disposal functions, including the emptying of bins and cages around the site.
  • To complete damage report forms for any stock damaged ensuring this is reported to your immediate Line Manager for recording and data processing.
  • To complete stock requisitions and internal/external stock movements.
  • To carry out safety checks as assigned on equipment and report any damages / concerns to your Manager.

Sage 200:

  • To complete data inputting to maintain a live system, including the data entry of pink tickets onto sage (hold for micro) for all stock produced during each shift including any part pallets.
  • To participate in any stock traceability as required by your immediate Line Manager
  • To ensure logging of stock movements is carried out through handheld scanners.
  • To maintain accurate data entry on Sage 200 at all times.

General:

  • To ensure and to adhere to and proactively promote Company policies on Food · Safety, Health & Safety and good Environmental practices.
  • To ensure all accidents / incidents are reported to your immediate Line Manager.
  • To be aware of the Company quality and hygiene standards and to observe and practice these standards in the course of carrying out the duties required.
  • To carry out all reasonable duties as requested by your Line Manager.
  • To ensure that all decisions and processes are made in line with our Company values

please note these are 2 separate roles - one which requires a FLT counterbalance.

working rotating shifts of 6am - 2pm , 2pm - 10pm & 10pm - 6am

  • Foyer focused – warehouse experience but no need to have FLT qualifications - £12.20 p/hr
  • FLT focused – warehouse experience essential, with FLT qualifications - £12.45 p/hr
