Project Manager – Construction

- Permanent: up to £68,000 + Package DOE
- Based in Bristol
We are currently searching for a Project Manager to join a residential main contractor on a part residential, part commercial scheme in the heart of Bristol. The scheme is due to start at the end of April so there is an opportunity to lead the project from start to finish.
The scheme comprises of the partial demolition of an existing building, retention of existing façade, installation of new steel frame to situate 68 apartments and 4 office units.
Coming in at the start of the scheme would give you scope to take full ownership of the project, get involved in the final aspects of preconstruction and set the site up to your preference.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution – Develop and manage project plans, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
- Health & Safety Compliance – Enforce HSE regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Stakeholder Coordination – Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
- Budget & Cost Control – Monitor project finances, manage cost variations, and ensure profitability.
- Program Management – Oversee schedules, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Quality Assurance – Ensure workmanship meets industry standards and client expectations.
- Resource Management – Allocate labour, materials, and equipment efficiently.
- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making – Address on-site challenges and keep the project on track.
Experience required:
- 3+ years’ experience working in a Senior Site/Project Manager role with a main contractor/developer.
- Ability to produce your own short and long-term programmes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate various subcontractors on site along with your site team.
- Strong commercial and technical awareness
- SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid are essential
