About the roleVision for Education are seeking those looking to for a SEND Teacher to work in a Primary setting in Bristol. This is a full time position starting April 2025 until the end of the academic year. You will teaching a small class of children with the support of 5 SEND Teaching Assistants. The children have a range of additional and special educational needs and disabilities including ASC and SLCN.
You will be expected to work together with the other experienced staff to plan/prep, and deliver a high quality educational experience to your pupils, to ensure that every child has the opportunity to achieve their full potential and is well-prepared for the next stage of their education.Â

Delivering instruction to pupils through whole-class teaching, small group sessions, or one-on-one support, as specified in their EHCP.

Collaborating with external professionals, including Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists.

Overseeing and guiding support staff to ensure effective pupil progress.

Supporting a weekly forest school session for all pupils.

Participating in regular training sessions with specialist practitioners, including the Bristol Autism Team.
The specialist schools cater for students in with communication and interaction problems, learning difficulties, social or emotional issues and visual or hearing impairments. The schools offer brilliant facilities and resources, and the staff pride themselves on their child-centred approach. Most schools we work with have excellent public transport links, but access to a vehicle would be advantageous.
RequirementsTo be considered for the SEND Teacher role you must:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Newly Qualified Teaching Status (NQT)
• Hold a driving licence, which would be preferred, but not essential.
• A DBS Certificate is an advantage but not essential, this can be arranged.
• Confident de-escalating challenging situations. Training would be an advantage but not essential.

Salary£95 to £130 per day
