Responsibilities:Join our dynamic team as a Finance Manager and play a vital role in managing our financial operations. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will oversee a team of two and ensure the smooth running of our financial processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing management information (MI)
  • Managing cash flow efficiently
  • Overseeing an invoice factoring facility and liaising with auditors
  • Implementing forex risk management strategies
  • Conducting balance sheet reconciliations
  • Driving continual improvement of processes and systems
  • Collaborating with outsourced IT and HR functions, while mentoring an internal HR apprentice
  • Working with accountants on financial statements and corporation tax compliance
  • Ensuring adherence to VAT and other tax regulations
  • Managing insurance and payroll functions

Ideal Candidate:We're looking for a self-motivated finance professional who thrives on maintaining clean ledgers and strong controls. You'll need to be hands-on, ready to engage with sales and purchase ledger management, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end journals.

Key attributes include:

  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Comfort in attending weekly senior management meetings
  • Ability to collaborate closely with commercial and operations teams
  • Knowledge of international trade, logistics, and foreign currency dealings
  • Proficiency in Excel with a flair for systems/software
