Aspire People are looking for a confident HLTA to work with a specialist provision for students aged 5-19 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs and additional learning requirements. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work one-to-one with a Key Stage 3 pupil. In this pivotal role, you will deliver pre-planned schemes of work tailored to meet the individual learning needs of the student, ensuring they are focused, engaged, and progressing in their education.Key Responsibilities:* Deliver engaging and adaptive lessons in line with pre-planned schemes of work.* Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages pupil participation and engagement.* Monitor and record the pupil's behaviour and development, providing regular feedback to the teaching team.* Build strong, trusting relationships with the pupil to promote emotional well-being and academic success.What We're Looking For:* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH and additional learning needs, preferably in an educational setting.* A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils and staff.* Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting student learning and development.* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.How to Apply: If you are passionate about supporting students with SEMH needs and have the skills to engage and inspire, we would love to hear from you!
