The school provides a tailored approach to education, with smaller class sizes and a differentiated curriculum, enabling their pupils to thrive both academically and socially.About the RoleAs a Behaviour Mentor, you will:- Support pupils with SEMH needs and additional learning difficulties, helping them develop confidence, independence, and key life skills.- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement tailored strategies that meet the unique needs of each pupil.- Assist in delivering a differentiated curriculum, adapting activities to ensure accessibility for all learners.- Support pupils in regulating their emotions and developing positive behaviours through a patient and proactive approach.- Foster social development, encouraging pupils to build friendships and engage positively with others.About YouThe ideal candidate will:- Be open-minded, resilient, and proactive in addressing challenges.- Have experience working with young people with SEMH needs or additional learning needs, either in an educational, youth work, or care setting (preferred but not essential).- Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills.- Show empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.- Be adaptable and able to think on their feet in a dynamic environment.- Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices (training will be provided).What We Offer- Opportunities for professional development and training.- A chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people.- A rewarding and fulfilling role in a specialist setting.How to ApplyIf you are passionate about supporting young people and are ready to take on a rewarding challenge, we would love to hear from you.
