MTrec are currently recruiting for a leading manufacturer of high-quality laminate worktops, surfaces, and decorative panels, supplying to industries across the UK and beyond. We take pride in our commitment to innovation, quality, and excellence in manufacturing.

The Role:

  • Responsible for operating machinery to shape and form laminate products, ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Operate postforming machinery to produce high-quality laminated worktops.
  • Set up and adjust machinery to achieve precise product dimensions.
  • Monitor the production process, ensuring smooth operation and minimising downtime.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, checking for defects and ensuring adherence to specifications.
  • Work from production schedules, job sheets, and technical drawings.
  • Handle, trim, and shape laminate materials as required.
  • Conduct basic machine maintenance and report any faults or breakdowns.
  • Follow strict health and safety procedures, ensuring correct PPE is worn at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the work area.
  • Work efficiently within a team to meet production targets and deadlines.

The Person:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (postforming experience desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to operate machinery and follow technical instructions.
  • Keen attention to detail and quality control.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and adjustments.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts and overtime when required.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
