The Role:
- Responsible for operating machinery to shape and form laminate products, ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
- Operate postforming machinery to produce high-quality laminated worktops.
- Set up and adjust machinery to achieve precise product dimensions.
- Monitor the production process, ensuring smooth operation and minimising downtime.
- Inspect finished products for quality, checking for defects and ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Work from production schedules, job sheets, and technical drawings.
- Handle, trim, and shape laminate materials as required.
- Conduct basic machine maintenance and report any faults or breakdowns.
- Follow strict health and safety procedures, ensuring correct PPE is worn at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the work area.
- Work efficiently within a team to meet production targets and deadlines.
The Person:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (postforming experience desirable but not essential).
- Ability to operate machinery and follow technical instructions.
- Keen attention to detail and quality control.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and adjustments.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts and overtime when required.
- Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
