CK Group are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician, to join a chemical company, at their site based in Shildon, on an initial 6-month contract. This is a 4on-4off shift role.


The Company:

Our client is a leading paint manufacturer. Their Shildon site produces technical paints and coatings for the aerospace industry.


Salary:

40,000 - 50,000 per annum.


Location:

This role is located at our client's site in Shildon.


Maintenance Technician Role:

Your main duties will be:
  • Carrying out preventative and reactive repairs in our client's manufacturing and distribution facility.
  • Working on a variety of heavy, industrial and chemical manufacturing equipment.
  • Assisting with installation and modification projects.
  • Contributing to projects in manufacturing, including continuous improvement and safety projects.

Your Background:

The ideal candidate for this role will have
  • A level 3 apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical or maintenance engineering.
  • Strong maintenance experience gained in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expert knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical maintenance and calibration is very desirable.
