JHE & Partners are delighted to be working alongside a well-established business in Shipley as they look to appoint an accountant on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business, where you will be influential in financial decision-making and improving / streamlining existing processes. If you are a hands-on accountant looking for a busy role, working for a group of companies then this could be the ideal role for you.
Overseeing a small and well-established finance team, you will oversee all areas of the accounts function. The client is looking for someone who is happy to roll their sleeves up; from processing invoices to preparing / producing the management accounts. The business has a lovely culture, is family-owned and debt free where all areas of the business work as one.
Duties include:
- Monthly management accounts, prepayments and accruals
- Monthly cashflow forecasting
- Producing year-end statements
- Ledger maintenance and reconciling accordingly
- Bank reconciliations
- VAT returns
- Oversee small finance team
- Working with external auditors
- Close liaison with senior leadership team
Person specification:
- Experience in a similar role, producing accounts
- Comfortable working closely with senior team
- Good IT skills including SAGE
- Live within a commutable distance to Shipley
Salary on offer will pay up to £45,000 + bonus. Please note this is strictly an office role, with no hybrid working.
