Quality Engineer responsibilities include -

  • Act as quality contact for customers, handling orders, drawings, and approvals.
  • Investigate and resolve non-conformances and customer complaints.
  • Lead audits and manage corrective actions for identified issues.
  • Update quality procedures and drive process improvements.
  • Refine root cause analysis to improve the Quality Management System.
  • Manage quality metrics and ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Work with teams to reduce scrap, rework, and improve product quality.

Quality Engineer desirable skills and experience -

  • Knowledge of modern manufacturing methods and techniques.
  • Knowledge of QMS such as ISO 9001, AS 9100, or IATF 16949.
  • Able to use core tools such as 8D, PPAP, and Control Plans.
  • Confident in providing day-to-day customer support.
  • Mechanical engineering education (HNC/HNC) or relevant training.
