JLM m&e Ltd has a fantastic opportunity for a gregarious individual to join a company of the future providing renewable energy for businesses around the UK looking to save the planet with carbon neutral energy solutions.

You either are already a researcher or telemarketer or are intrigued to become one. You will research our market and contribute to the lead generation process. A telemarketer is a skilled telephone/sales professional, who leverages their persuasive abilities to engage potential customers and drive sales through phone interactions. They answer inquiries, provide detailed information about products and services, and effectively handle orders and transactions.The role of a researcher/telemarketer involves following prescribed scripts and employing their expertise to ensure consistent and accurate information delivery to customers through telephone calls. They play a crucial role in nurturing customer relationships by addressing concerns, resolving complaints and providing exceptional post-sales support.Telemarketers contribute to lead generation efforts, utilising their research and communication skills and product knowledge to identify potential customers and convert leads into sales opportunities. They also provide valuable insights to their supervisors and contribute to continuously improving products, services and sales strategies.The telemarketer will concentrate on generating sales opportunities and closing appointments for the sales team over the phone. Telemarketers primarily work in outbound sales, but will also handle inbound calls.

The role

We seek a dedicated and dynamic researcher/telemarketer to join our sales and marketing team at JLM Energy.As a telemarketer, you will research potential customers, manage our lead generation process; make outbound calls to potential customers and persuade them to meet with our salespeople. Your primary goal will be to generate interest, qualify leads and close appointments over the phone. You will also engage prospects and build rapport through persuasive communication skills, gathering information about their needs and preferences.Objectives of this role

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide qualified leads and relevant information for an effective follow-up.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends and competitor offerings to position our products or services in the market.
  • Conduct outbound calls to potential customers to promote our products or services.
  • Building rapport with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to generate leads and drive sales.
  • Addressing customer concerns and overcoming objections to influence buying decisions through persuasive sales conversations.
  • Collaborating with sales teams to schedule appointments, demos or consultations for qualified leads.
  • Achieving or exceeding individual targets and goals related to lead generation, appointment setting and sales conversion.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Relevant degree.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in research, telemarketing, sales or customer service.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a clear and confident phone manner, with the ability to articulate product features and benefits persuasively.
  • Understanding of the economy, market trends and competitors’ landscape.
  • Solid persuasive and negotiation abilities to influence buying decisions.
  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to understand and address customer needs.
  • Resilience and perseverance to handle rejection and maintain motivation in a sales-driven role.
  • Organisational skills to manage customer information and follow-up activities.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with CRM systems or sales software.
  • Hard work ethic, professionalism, integrity and a positive attitude in all customer interactions.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
