They are committed to delivering exceptional service to their global network of customers and partners. About the Role:Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Import & Export Freight Co-ordinator to join their Operations Team. This key role ensures exceptional customer service for overseas agents and import clients. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will collaborate closely with team members to maintain consistent levels of accuracy, efficiency, and service excellence. Key Responsibilities of the Import & Export Freight Co-ordinator:
  • Handle customer queries via telephone and email.
  • Maintain and manage shared inbox communications.
  • Provide pricing, quotes, and service information.
  • Process customer bookings and input data into systems such as Multifreight and Cargowise.
  • Liaise with customers, sub-contractors, suppliers, and agents.
  • Check and send customer documentation, including producing bills of lading.
  • Conduct networking and research to remain competitive.
  • Providing customers with the highest service levels, to meet their quality, service, and price expectations.
  • Anticipate and meet client needs through proactive communication and support.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years experience within Import/Export Freight Forwarding is essential.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Industry-related qualifications are desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proven ability to manage workloads, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • A proactive, positive, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to overcome challenges.
  • Self-motivated, conscientious, and a team player.
