As in-house recruiters for DENSO Marston Ltd, a large Multinational Organisation based in West Yorkshire we have an amazing opportunity for the right candidate with an engineering degree to join our busy Production Engineering team.  You will be confident and looking for your first step into gaining experience in an engineering department.  You will become part of an excellent two year Graduate Program where you will gain some valuable engineering hard skills as well as soft skills.   • Using the Microsoft Visio system to update all Engineering Changes to Standard Operating Procedures throughout the manufacturing facility
  • Some Autocad use to assist in ongoing projects.
  • Continuous improvement activities
  • Develop and maintain process documentation in compliance with the Company’s quality management system (i.e. IATF16949).
  • Liaising with various departments within the manufacturing facility
  • Plan, implement and monitor all new product/variant introductions with emphasis on efficient factory layout, process flow and optimization of capital equipment and ensure introduction of new products is in line with NPI targets (time, quality, budget) and following APQP
  • Involvement in the definition of requirements for new equipment based on process design, implement effectively while working in cross-functional team comprising of machine design, production, quality, purchasing etc to deliver the correct process equipment
  • By utilising lean manufacturing techniques, identify and implement improvements to
    • Production capacity and output
    • Improvement of First run capability of processes
    • Data analysis
    • Reduce scrap and rework
    • Improve Cycle time
    • OEE of Key equipment
    • Quality assurance and control of the processes
    • Safety and ergonomics in processes
    • Section layout
  • Using systematic problem solving techniques, support production in case of technical problems with NPI and current processes.
  • Be involved in the identification, development, project management and implementation of complex improvement projects.
Essential Skills:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering subject.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including communication, presentation and motivation.
  • Strong administrative and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work on own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and within a busy environment.
  • Good team player and flexible approach to work.
  • Knowledge of CAD systems.
  • Willingness to learn
