We are in search of a meticulous and organised Junior Freight Forwarder to oversee the logistics and coordination of transporting goods both domestically and internationally. The ideal candidate will manage all facets of the supply chain process, ensuring punctual delivery, adherence to regulations, and cost-effectiveness. This role is ideal for someone with robust problem-solving skills, outstanding communication abilities, and the capability to adapt to the dynamic logistics environment.
Daily Responsibilities:- Deliver consistent, exceptional service to external salespeople, clients, and agents.
- Uphold high levels of precision in data records across all utilised systems.
- Address customer inquiries via telephone and email, and oversee a shared inbox.
- Secure pricing, furnish quotes, and service information, and manage customer bookings.
- Enter data into Multifreight and other systems.
- Communicate with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and agents.
- Administer and dispatch customer documentation, generate bills of lading, and provide instructions for the same.
- Engage in networking and research to remain competitive.
- Convince customers that our superior service levels will meet their expectations in terms of quality, service, and price.
- Interpret and manage customer requirements to understand, anticipate, and fulfil their needs.
- Exceptional customer service ethic and strong desire to meet customer needs.
- Proactive and driven with the ability to transform negatives into positives.
- Proficient IT skills, with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Capable of managing own workload, prioritising tasks, and performing effectively under pressure.
- Outstanding negotiation skills and the ability to resolve difficulties.
- Highly self-motivated with superb communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Meticulous attention to detail and superior organisational skills.
- A solid educational background in Maths & English.
- Preferred industry-related qualifications.
- At least 6 months experience experience in import/export freight forwarding.
