We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant inclusion team. This role involves working closely with our key SEND/EHCP pupils, delivering targeted support in small groups or one-on-one sessions. You'll help students develop crucial skills through social skills activities, behaviour workshops, team-building exercises, sports sessions, and Literacy and Maths intervention.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Experience working with SEND, SEMH, or within a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit).
  • Strong commitment to helping SEND students develop academically and socially within a supportive, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with 15-20 SEND students throughout the week in small group sessions (max. 4 students) or one-on-one.
  • Deliver support in areas including social skills, behaviour management, teamwork, and academic interventions.
  • Contribute to the school's nurture provision, supporting students with communication and interaction difficulties and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
  • Participate in PPA (planning, preparation, and assessment) time to tailor sessions to student's individual needs.
  • Collaborate closely with the inclusion team to ensure consistent and effective support.
