Carbon60 are currently working in partnership with a unique engineering company based in Abingdon Oxford to recruit an experienced electro-mechanical technician to join the production/build team within the business.

The company specialises on the design and manufacture of highly bespoke special purpose machinery for use in a wide variety if sectors that includes medical, aerospace, defence and energy sectors.

This position is required to continue the expansion of the production team to assist with the electrical and mechanical assembly of the units.

The bias on this role would be 60% electrical and 40% mechanical.

This Technician role will be based full time on site working 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembling bespoke machinery from start to finish based on schematic and layout drawings.
  • Fitting, wiring, and building electrical panels.
  • Installing electrical components according to schematics.
  • Performing electrical wiring based on schematics and drawings.
  • Utilising hand tools, measuring equipment, hand drills, and pillar drills.
  • Working efficiently to meet strict deadlines.
  • Collaborating with other departments to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Skills Required:

  • Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail, able to work accurately in a high-precision environment.
  • Ability to use hand tools such as wire strippers and hand drills.
  • Module wiring including soldered connectors.
  • Good time management.
  • Quality assurance identifying faulting finding and repairs.
