Working as part of a team the Head Chef role is responsible for managing all aspects of the catering departing including managing a team to provide a reliable and high level of service to meet the business needs and providing culinary duties including creating varied menus, placing orders, and producing a range of quality and healthy meals for Reed Business School delegates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and nurture the catering team
  • Regularly review suppliers to obtain good value procurement and quality produce
  • Create inspiring, nutritious and varied menus
  • Prepare food to a high standard, meeting planned course meal break deadlines appropriate for the scheduled catering numbers
  • Oversee, check deliveries and sign off invoices
  • Oversee and manage hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
  • Manage catering equipment and seek quotations for repairs/renewals
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health and hygiene codes and regulations
  • Plan and execute special events as required for the business

Key Skills and Experience
