Our client is a fast-growing distillery in the UK are looking for a warehouse operative , focusing on whisky and gin and are currently recruiting for a Bottling Operative to join their team in Shipston-on-Stour!

Pay

£25,000 per annum

Hours

The role is full-time, working 40 hours per week, Mondays to Fridays (9am - 5.30 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break), including bank holidays.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

An engaged, production inclined individual who is willing to work as a team in a fast-paced environment and preferably with prior experience working on bottling/packaging equipment. Candidates must exhibit a continuous improvement mind set and behaviours. Candidates must also demonstrate behaviours of professionalism and teamwork. The ability to operate machinery by hand and to lift heavy weights is required.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Promptly and accurately complete any/all paperwork associated with the below duties, including checklists, logs and reports.
  • Safely operate fork lift trucks to load/unload deliveries and collections, and to provide materials to production.
  • Routine maintenance checks of all company vehicles including forklifts, vans and trucks.
  • Check and verify incoming and outgoing goods
  • Count inventory with excellent accuracy and work with accounts and production to maintain supply of critical materials.
  • Pick & pack orders
  • Delivering goods to our multiple offsite shops & warehouses.
  • Maintain and organise warehouses to a high standard, making the best use of space and ensuring appropriate storage of a variety of goods.
  • Safely drive a fork lift truck to move materials within and between the distillery and warehouses
  • Assist with any other warehouse activities as directed.
  • Safely handle casks in preparation for deliveries/collections and sample taking.
  • Follow distillery operational policies, procedures and standards, as well as driving rules and regulations.
  • Maintain a high standard of order and cleanliness in the distillery yard and surrounds.
  • Assisting in our Bottling Department to meet the needs of the business.
  • Assisting the Distillery Manager with barrel related movements/activities to meet the needs of the business.
  • Identifying and reporting any issues to Bottling and Warehouse Manager immediately upon discovery.

  • Forklift truck licence
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Basic Microsoft based IT skills: able to send/receive emails and calendar invites; able to open, navigate and print/copy documents.
