We are currently seeking two dedicated Learning Support Assistant's to support pupils with SEMH between 11-16 years old at an OFSTED rated 'Good' Alternative Provision based in Solihull. These roles are permanent for the right candidates.
Time: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Pay: £80-95 per day
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track student progress and behaviour
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programmes to meet the individual needs of SEMH pupils.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Help implement behaviour management strategies to promote a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to assessments.
Requirements
- Previous experience working within an educational setting
- Previous experience working within an alternative provision (ideal)
- Right to work in the UK
- A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children
- Experience working with SEND pupils
