We are currently seeking two dedicated Learning Support Assistant's to support pupils with SEMH between 11-16 years old at an OFSTED rated 'Good' Alternative Provision based in Solihull. These roles are permanent for the right candidates.

Time: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Pay: £80-95 per day

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track student progress and behaviour
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programmes to meet the individual needs of SEMH pupils.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence.
  • Help implement behaviour management strategies to promote a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to assessments.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within an educational setting
  • Previous experience working within an alternative provision (ideal)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children
  • Experience working with SEND pupils
