About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support in their learning. Your role will involve providing one-to-one assistance, working with small groups, and helping to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment. You will collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure every child can reach their full potential, both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support for students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of tailored learning activities.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and support the emotional and social development of pupils.
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to monitor progress and adapt learning plans.
  • Support students with personal care when needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages pupil engagement.

About You:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible to meet the needs of individual pupils.
  • A passion for making a positive impact in the lives of young learners.

Qualifications:

Relevant experience or qualifications in supporting children with SEN (desirable but not essential).

Right to work in the UK.

A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
