SEND Teaching Assistant - Shoreham

We are currently working with an SEN school in West Sussex who are urgently seeking several Learning Support Assistants to support their secondary-age pupils to start as soon as possible.

We also need multiple candidates for further 1-2-1 and small group in other client schools across Shoreham, Worthing, Lancing and Littlehampton.

About the role:

The needs of the pupils they cater for range from:

  • ASC (verbal and non-verbal)
  • Learning difficulties
  • Complex needs
  • SEMH

We welcome applicants with a good understanding of working with students with severe ASC and profound, multiple learning difficulties and are enthusiastic about raising the attainment of their pupils.You will ideally have experience in supporting children with special educational needs or will have a passion for working with students with special educational needs. Working with Theatre in Education (TIE) or workshops with children are beneficial. By being proactive and taking initiative, you are going to be able to build relationships with students and gain knowledge of a wide variety of needs.
