Quality Assurance ManagerLocation: Shoreham By SeaSalary: £40k-£50kJob Type: Full-TimeSyntech Recruitment are partnering with a client that are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead their quality systems and initiatives. This pivotal role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing our Quality Management System and ensuring compliance with key certifications such as ISO 9001, PED, and ATEX.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring it remains up-to-date and effective.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement across the organization and maintain compliance with relevant standards and certifications.
  • Represent the business during external and internal quality audits, ensuring a professional and thorough approach.
  • Promote a strong quality culture, encouraging performance improvements and quality achievements across all departments.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and supplier teams to develop a reliable, high-quality supplier base, including managing vendor performance analysis.
  • Work closely with external suppliers to ensure product quality, reduce non-conformances, and implement first article inspections.
  • Maintain up-to-date Health & Safety standards, aligned with current legislation, and promote awareness and training company-wide.
  • Develop and implement standardized operating procedures across all departments.
  • Lead the internal audit process, identify areas for improvement, and update procedures and manuals accordingly.
  • Supervise technical staff in the testing and inspection of incoming and onsite products.
  • Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring corrective/preventive actions and continuous improvement initiatives are documented and implemented.
  • Collect and analyze performance data from both internal operations and external vendors.
  • Identify training needs and support the development of quality-related training across the organization.
  • Provide accurate and contract-specific Quality Plans.
  • Manage the customer complaints process and maintain accurate records for ongoing analysis and improvement.

  • Proven experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, PED, and ATEX requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
