An exciting opportunity to join a leading group of companies including a successful Building Contractor and progressive Joinery company, who are now looking for an experienced GroupPurchaser / Buyer with a solid background in Construction / Building related Procurement.

LOCATION: Based in the Shoreham-by-Sea offices in West Sussex. You may be looking for Purchasing/ Procurement/ Buyer jobs in Sussex, West Sussex, East Sussex, Worthing, Brighton, Littlehampton, Arundel, Eastbourne, Burgess Hill, Surrey. Driving license would be advantageous.
SALARY: Competitive salary.
HOURS: 7.30am 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
Your role is to manage the busy and varied purchasing / procurement across the Group of companies.
Roles and responsibilities include:
Purchase all materials within the Group.
Follow and set new processes to improve efficiency.
Work closely with on-site teams to support requirements and manage expectations.
Identify opportunities to drive savings.
Source supply partners for innovative new ranges.
Negotiate on price, quantity, quality, and delivery schedules.
Bring ideas and solutions to improve company stock optimisation and supply chain management strategies.
You will have an eye for detail and be highly organised to ensure that all procurement processes are adhered to and contracts are accurately recorded. You may have experience leading supplier negotiations and relationship management.
A conscientious and hardworking Purchaser/ Procurement Assistant/ Buyer with sound commercial acumen, excellent communication skills and knowledge of construction, materials / building contracts.
Your background will be in Purchasing/ Buying/ Procurement, previous jobs may include Interim Purchasing Manager, Construction Procurement Manager, Construction Materials Buyer, Category Manager, Purchasing Lead, Assistant Buyer (Materials & Plant), Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager, Purchasing Assistant or similar.
