About the role

Connex Education are seeking a Maths Teacher to join our team. This is a full-time, long-term role teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths to mixed ability and very able groups, commencing as soon as possible, with the view to continue for the full academic year. The school has a good mixed 11-16 secondary school reputation, known for its happy and successful environment. For the right candidate, the school can wait until February half term. This long-term supply role will extend into the summer term. The salary is payable from MPS1-UPS1. Applications are welcome from teachers at any stage in their career, including Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or experienced secondary teachers.

Our client is seeking to appoint a committed & enthusiastic teacher who enjoys working as a member of a team and is constantly seeking ways to improve their current practice. A positive attitude towards the use of IT is essential. The successful applicant will have good self-organisational skills.

 

Assignment Details

This role will start as soon as possible and will last until the end of the academic year.

Person Specification

• Previous experience working in a challenging secondary school environment is advantageous. 

• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students. 

• Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure. 

• QTS / QTLS or equivalent. 

• An enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to apply for a new one. 

• An outstanding practitioner with high expectations.
