About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Material Planning Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring material availability for production by working closely with suppliers, production schedulers, and operations personnel. You will play a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting supply chain performance to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilise MRP and supplier collaboration technologies to manage material delivery for production.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials by coordinating with suppliers to meet production schedules.
- Proactively identify and resolve supplier delivery issues, implementing root cause corrective actions where necessary.
- Monitor and track supplier performance to drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to enhance material availability at points of use.
- Support alignment of inventory systems and planning parameters to maintain supply chain integrity.
What We're Looking For
- Strong background in material planning.
- Familiarity with material planning systems and concepts.
- Proven ability to schedule and expedite parts efficiently.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- High attention to detail and well-organised approach to work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- APICS or other supply chain qualification.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma project management principles.
- SAP experience is highly beneficial.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Working Structure & Benefits
- Onsite Role: This position is fully site-based in Peterlee, with no remote working.
- Working Hours: Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:30, Friday 08:00-12:30 (some flexibility on start/finish times).
- Team Structure: You will be part of a dedicated and supportive team of 9 professionals.
