Are you an experienced Coded Welder looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a thriving industry? We are currently seeking a skilled Coded Welder to join our dynamic team at the Shotton Papermill in Flintshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding duties in accordance with safety standards, technical specifications, and quality procedures.
  • Work with various materials, including steel and stainless steel, on machinery and structural components in the papermill.
  • Carry out maintenance, repairs, and installations as required.
  • Ensure work meets all regulatory compliance standards and internal quality control measures.
  • Collaborate with engineers and the maintenance team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.

Key Requirements:

  • Valid welding codes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick welding - ASME IX, BS EN 287, etc.).
  • Proven experience working as a coded welder in an industrial environment, preferably within the papermill or similar sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, safety practices, and the ability to read technical drawings.
  • Experience with both manual and automated welding equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality assurance.
