Tillicoultry Quarries is a successful and fast-growing family-owned quarrying company and major supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready-mixed concrete, mortar, render and sports sand to the building and road construction industry. We operate in over 31 sites throughout Central Scotland, the North East of England and East Anglia.

Due to our continued success and rapid growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Weighbridge Operative based at our Tams Loup Quarry. The successful candidates should be customer focused, reliable, well organised and be able to work well as part of a team in a busy environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operating the weighbridge, matching and filing weighbridge tickets.
  • Dealing with general customer enquiries, i.e., orders, deliveries.
  • Assist with scheduling in line with customer delivery requirements.
  • Ship and coordinate trucks to ensure best truck optimisation.
  • General office administration, filing, data input, checking and responding to emails.


WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Be prepared to progress and develop within our business through training and gaining qualifications.
  • A willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work regular overtime to meet the needs of the business, and has a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Be in possession of a full driving license.
  • Have a polite, professional and courteous approach to dealing with customers.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually as required.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • IT Skills, Word, Excel, Outlook.
