NMS Recruit is partnering with a highly respected Accountancy Practice based in Shrewsbury to secure an Accounts Executive (Audit). This is a full-time opportunity for a strategic financial leader.People have previously described this business as career-defining.   • Lead the financial reporting process for the audit team's expanding client base, ensuring effective project management.
  • Prepare financial statements and tax computations for complex assignments and larger client groups within the audit team.
  • Communicate effectively with both the audit team and clients to gather information, address queries, and resolve issues.
  • Oversee the submission of approved financial statements and statutory tax returns, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • Take a proactive approach in identifying opportunities to enhance client reporting and taxation, while also assessing potential needs for specialist advisory services.
  • Provide coaching, training, and ongoing support to junior team members, leveraging your knowledge and experience to aid their development.
  • Review and provide feedback on the work of junior team members to ensure quality and accuracy.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Be fully or partially qualified with ACCA or ACA.
  • Possess a strong technical understanding of accounting standards, with a solid working knowledge of FRS 102.
  • Have experience using CaseWare (preferred but not essential).
  • Have experience in preparing charity accounts (desirable but not required).
