Role Responsibilities
  • Project manage the financial reporting process for a varied client portfolio
  • Prepare financial statements and tax computations for complex assignments and larger groups
  • Communicate effectively with the audit team and directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries
  • Submit approved financial statements and statutory tax returns in line with reporting requirements and deadlines
  • Identify opportunities to improve client reporting and taxation, recommending advisory services as needed
  • Coach, train, and support junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise
  • Review work produced by junior staff, ensuring high standards and compliance

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be self-motivated and a strong team player
  • Hold or be working towards ACCA or ACA qualification
  • Have a strong technical understanding of accounting standards, particularly FRS 102
  • Possess previous experience preparing charity accounts (desirable but not essential)
  • Demonstrate excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Have strong communication skills, particularly in delegating and coaching junior team members
  • Be experienced in using CaseWare or similar software (desirable)
