Description
- Oversee and manage inventory accounts for the retail sector.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual inventory reports.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and standards.
- Identify areas of financial risk and propose mitigation strategies.
- Support the team in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector's rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.
Profile
A successful Group Inventory Accountant should have:
- Proven experience in inventory accounting within the retail industry.
- AAT Level 2 (or equivalent) as a minimum
- Expertise in using accounting software and other financial systems.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
- Must be able to drive, and be comfortable travelling across different sites
