Description

  • Oversee and manage inventory accounts for the retail sector.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual inventory reports.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and standards.
  • Identify areas of financial risk and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Support the team in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector's rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.

Profile

A successful Group Inventory Accountant should have:

  • Proven experience in inventory accounting within the retail industry.
  • AAT Level 2 (or equivalent) as a minimum
  • Expertise in using accounting software and other financial systems.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
  • Must be able to drive, and be comfortable travelling across different sites
