Alexander Daniels are recruiting for an experienced Group Stock Accountant to join a leading business. The role of Stock Accountant is a newly created one with the main objective being to operate as a key link between Sales, operations and finance functions.

The individual will need to be able to work independently and be self-motivated. They should also process strong problem-solving skills and have a keen eye for detail. It's important to have business partnering skills and being able to work well through others as this role will need the buy in from the operational teams for their support.

This role will require travel round all group companies.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out periodic reviews of items ordered against physical locations (Machinery)
  • Periodic parts stock checks of group depots/companies
  • Create and maintain a system for demo/hire machines locations and documents
  • Assist and ownership of stocking funder audits
  • Reporting on stock levels; KPI's
  • Statutory Audit - ownership of the stock control process
  • Stocking/HP Funding
  • Assisting with month end/year end tasks
  • Misc tasks as required

Candidate Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Dynamic individual who can solve problems and manage workloads
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Comfortable travelling on own around all sites
  • AAT Level 2 (or equivalent) as a minimum
