My client a £120m+ group seeks to recruit a finance lead to take ownership for a subsidiary with a turnover of approx. £20m based in Somerset. In this role you will oversee and control the accounts function acting as a conduit between the SLT based onsite and the wider group finance function.
This role is office based role 5 days a week and currently do not operate a hybrid working policy. It is expected that you would travel down to the site in Somerset 2 days a fortnight. All expenses related to this will be covered.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional who is comfortable being the business contact lead in the subsidiary and will add value through the individual’s capability to collaborate relevant financial and non-financial information to aid in management decision making.
The post holder will be the first POC for day-to-day queries, assist and own delivery of the budget process, prepare the management accounts, assist and own the year end audit and provide high quality information.
Responsibilities
• Month end / year end processing
• Management accounts to first draft for presentation
• Budget tasks ownership
• Audit tasks ownership
• Miscellaneous reporting as required
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Depot reporting packs
• Business partnering with SMT members of the Somerset subsidiary and wider group
Candidate Requirements
• Persuasive communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to trouble shoot effectively
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work autonomously
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook,)
• A high level of proficiency in Excel is a requirement to be successful in this role
• Business Partnering capability - getting things done through others and being the Finance contact for the subsidiary.
