Sonic Summary

Venn Group is seeking an experienced Technical Illustrator for a hybrid role in Shropshire, with a contract lasting until the end of 2026.
The position requires multiple years of experience in technical illustrating and a security clearance (SC level).
Candidates should have expertise in illustrating to AESP and Def Stan 00-601 Part 4, as well as proficiency in CAD, Isodraw, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite.
The hourly rate is dependent on experience (DOE), and the role is classified as outside IR35.
Experience in land-based army equipment and flexibility in work style are essential, while military, defense, nuclear experience, and an engineering background are desirable.

Brief summary of the role

Our client is searching for an experienced Technical Illustrator with a security clearance to commute to Shropshire on a hybrid base to fill a long-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

Work independently and collect relevant information for AESP publications production
Upload specific information to Portal
Represent the company onsite

Skillset/experience required:

Multiple Years Experience Technical Illustrating
Experienced in Illustrating to AESP and Def Stan 00-601 Part 4
Experienced in Simplified English
Illustrating tools CAD, Isodraw, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and able to handle model information (IGYS and STEP files)
Very High attention to detail
Land Based Army Equipment Experience
Flexibility regarding work Style

Skillset/experience Desirable:

Military/Defence/Nuclear Experience
Engineering background
