We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our culinary team at our restaurant. The Chef will be responsible for preparing meals according to our menu and recipes, ensuring high-quality and delicious dishes are served to our customers. This is a fast-paced environment that requires excellent culinary skills and attention to detail. There is also an opportunity to live on site if this is required.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency and quality
- Monitor food stock and communicate any shortages to the Head Chef
- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and sanitized
- Adhere to all food safety standards and regulations
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new dishes and specials
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef or relevant role in a restaurant or culinary setting
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
